Following Alfred Graham's retirement in September 1997, our eight months of Interregnum (literal translation from latin: between reigns) went comparatively smoothly. Not only were we extremely fortunate to have such a reasonably brief time without an incumbent, but Alfred's successor could not have been more perfect. John Fisher and his family relocated to the wet and windy north in June 1998, leaving behind a group of parishes in Essex. One of his previous churches is Holy Trinity, Rayleigh.
